Hazard Markers

Hazard markers are placed on hazards on the road or other road features that drivers need to be aware of.

The V-shaped bars on Hazard markers show the direction you should drive to avoid a hazard.

DIRECTIONAL HAZARD MARKERS

You'll see Hazard markers on certain road hazards like traffic islands.

They show the direction to take when driving past a hazard.

Left hazard arrows.

DRIVE LEFT OF THE HAZARD

Right hazard arrows.

DRIVE RIGHT OF THE HAZARD

Hazard arrows pointing upwards.

DRIVE EITHER SIDE OF THE HAZARD

Vehicle is at a T-intersection and faces a hazard marker.

The Hazard marker is warning Vehicle A that the road ends.
